Jo worked with me to build a bespoke ‘Strategic Business Partner’ upskilling programme, based around the IoIC’s profession map for my team. Over three, fabulously interactive and in-person, days she took all of us on a learning journey that covered the fundamentals of strategic IC, good planning, measurement, stakeholder management and influencing. It’s already having a massive impact on the team, and they way they work and I have no doubt that they’ll all be better Business Partners as a result of what Jo delivered.
Following an employee satisfaction survey there were findings that we realised we need specialist help with. Engaging Jo’s services gave employees a confidential and impartial channel to be really open and honest with their feedback about the company – good and bad. It gave us the benefit of some ideas and recommendations to implement in order to improve employee satisfaction & engagement and these ideas were a combination of quick fixes and longer term initiatives. It helped us realise that employee satisfaction starts at the recruitment stage so we’ve also started a project to review all our job descriptions and interview processes. Jo’s intervention was invaluable so much so that, a year on, employee satisfaction is up and we are repeating a smaller version of the project as a ‘pulse check’ to ensure we stay on the right path.
Thanks to the knowledge and tools I gained from your Effective Measurement & Evaluation course, I was able to get management on-board for us to acquire a proper comms software to help us evaluate data and metrics from the content we are sharing internally.
