Helping a Comms Team Step Up as Strategic Business Partners
When a senior internal communication leader wanted his team to move from being tactical communicators to trusted strategic advisors, he asked me to design a bespoke upskilling programme aligned with the IoIC’s competency framework.
Over three highly interactive, in-person training days, we explored the fundamentals of strategic internal communication, including planning, measurement, stakeholder management and influence. Each session was practical, collaborative, and focused on helping the team practice and apply new thinking directly to their day-to-day work, as well as unite and align as a team.
The result?
The team is already seeing a massive shift in how they work and how the business perceives them. They’re more confident in their roles, clearer in their purpose, and better equipped to act as Strategic Business Partners to their stakeholders.
